Site and Forum Rules

Welcome to Talkinghorses.pro. This forum site takes over from our previous Horsetalk site, and almost all members of Horsetalk have moved here. 

Our aim is to provide a place for civil discourse, mainly about racing, but any subject can be discussed if it meets site rules, which are easily explained: be kind: if you have a disagreement with a poster, ‘play the ball, not the man’. For example, it is all right to say “I could not disagree more. I find such claims/assertions foolish.”  It is not all right to say, “You are a fool!” In example one you are debating someone’s take on a subject; in number two you are attacking the person who has that take.

Aside from the normal warnings about pitching commercial products, spamming etc, the above rule will cover pretty much everything governing the site. Individual forums might have separate rules, in particular the Daily Naps forum, and those rules are published in the sticky post at the head of that forum.
