I can say though that I have friends in Wensleydale and they are all really excited about the locally trained The Real Whacker. He's building up quite a fan base now after last season's fencing exploits. I hear Patrick Neville would have liked a quieter pipe opener than this - a mooted outing at Carlisle two weekends ago was sidestepped - and from that I assume the King George at Kempton - given some cut in the ground - will be where the horse is expected to go close. The Brown Advisory form has really stacked up and the fact that Gerri Colombe (beaten a short head that day) has come out and won off the same rating that Whacker carries tomorrow means that Neville's pride and joy has a live Gold Cup chance (and I mean the real Gold Cup). Not a lot of juice in that 7/1 tomorrow but as a strong galloper and a great jumper it's hard to see him out of the first three.
